Aashirvachnam Ceremony for Class XII StudentsFarewells always leave you teary eyed, for, not only do they remind you of the inevitable parting but are also a constant reminder of the effervescence of time. With a plethora of emotions brimming in the heart the Principal and staff of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram Pratap Nagar Jaipur bid adieu to the outgoing batch of class XII 2023-24 on February 3, 2024 in a solemn ceremony held on the sprawling lush green grounds of the school. The function was graced by the benign presence of Chief Guest Shri Ramesh Kumar Jain (IAS), Divisional Commissioner, Jodhpur (Retd). The ceremony commenced with the Principal receiving the Divya Jyoti from the Chief Guest in the Saraswati Temple. A procession of guests, teachers and students of the outgoing batch proceeded to the venue with the chanting of Vedic Mantra “Swastivachnam” led by rhythmic drumbeat of the school band. The ceremony began with Ganesh Shloka followed by citations read by the class teachers of class XII. The Principal administered the exhortation from Taittiriya Upanishad which has its origin in the Vedic era and describes the prayers and benedictions, advice on ethics and moral conduct to the outgoing students.Vice Chairman Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Jaipur Kendra, Shri Rajiv Jain showered his divine blessings on the students and hoped that they would definitely carry forward the legacy of Bhavan forward making everybody proud of them.The Chief Guest congratulated the students for their academic excellence and guided them to walk on righteous path. He hoped and prayed that students would make their alma mater, parents and friends proud as they grow. The Head girl and Head boy presented vote of thanks and expressed their gratitude towards the organization as a whole.Thereafter, the students placed the lamps, symbolizing divinity and wisdom, on the map of India and took a pledge to fulfill their duties towards the motherland with utmost dedication and determination. After receiving gifts from the dignitaries they sought blessings from the Guests, Principal, Teachers and Parents.The solemn ceremony culminated with a video presentation consisting of good luck messages by the teachers and their school life. It showcased the wonderful moments they had cherished together. It took the students down the memory lane and made them nostalgic.
