9th International Day of Yoga CelebrationThe International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21st June all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Hon\’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi who said “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature.” The theme for this year is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ with domestic tagline ‘Har Angan Yoga.’Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan organized Yoga Meet on June 21, 2023. The students, parents and teachers performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives. The asanas also help in maintaining a steady posture and reduce mental tiredness, stress and anxiety. They conveyed a message that practicing yogasanas regularly can help to maintain a healthy body and a healthy mind.Students also took part in Yoga quiz with great passion and performed their best. They also took a pledge to make Yoga an integral part of their daily lives. The celebration concluded with the speech by the Principal Smt. Ajayshree Sharma. She encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.
